The Most Notable Disaster

The Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 was lost on March 8, 2014. The Boeing 777 aircraft was carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew members from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Beijing, China when it disappeared from radar.

The most notable disaster that occurred on January 23, 1991 was the Gulf War that began with Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait. This conflict involved a coalition of forces from 36 countries, including the United States, and lasted for several months. The war resulted in the displacement of more than 400,000 Kuwaiti citizens, as well as hundreds of thousands of Iraqi casualties.

The September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States occurred on September 11, 2001. The attacks resulted in the collapse of the World Trade Center in New York City, the destruction of the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and the crash of Flight 93 in Pennsylvania. The attacks resulted in the deaths of nearly 3,000 people. 

The 2008 Sichuan Earthquake in China occurred on May 12, 2008. The magnitude 8.0 earthquake struck the Sichuan province and left more than 87,000 people dead and more than 4.8 million people homeless. It was the deadliest earthquake to hit China in more than 3 decades. And more…list as below:

8. The 2010 Chile Earthquake occurred on February 27, 2010 and had a magnitude of 8.8.  

9. The 1989 San Francisco Earthquake occurred on October 17, 1989 and had a magnitude of 7.1.  

10. The 1968 Peru Earthquake occurred on May 31, 1968 and had a magnitude of 8.0. 

11. On January 24, 2020, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake hit the eastern Turkish province of Elazig and was felt in numerous neighboring countries. The quake caused 41 deaths and more than 1,600 injuries.

12. The most recent major earthquake in Turkey occurred on February 6, 2023, a powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake and a series of strong tremors and aftershocks devastated southeast Turkey (officially the Republic of Türkiye) and northwest Syria. The death toll has passed 41,000 and continues to rise. 

The sun and moon’s gravity has been known to have a significant effect on the tides of the ocean, with possible implications for the destiny of humankind.
